Our Statement of faith…Deeply rooted in the changeless Word of God

1. The Word of God

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

2. The Trinity

We believe that there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons, that these are equal in every divine perfection, and that they execute distinct but harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.

3. God the Father

We believe in God, the Father, an infinite creator who is perfect and limitless in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of each person, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all of those who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

4. Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, God in human form and 2nd person of the Trinity.  He was conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal visible return to earth.

5. The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, 3rd person of the Trinity, who is sent forth from the Father to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Christ and that He is an abiding helper, teacher, and guide.

6. Regeneration

We believe that all people are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are forgiven of past, present, and future sins and are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

7. The Church

We believe in the universal church, a living spiritual body of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ, baptized on a credible confession of faith, and associated for worship, work and fellowship. We believe that God has laid upon the members of the local church the primary task of giving the gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.

8. Christian Conduct

We believe that Christians should live for the glory of God and the well-being of others; that their conduct should be blameless before the world; that they should be faithful stewards of their possessions; and that they should seek to realize for themselves and others the full stature of maturity in Christ.

9. The Ordinances

We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper.  We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water into the name of the triune God after they have expressed personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We believe that the Lord’s Supper was instituted by Christ for the commemoration of His death, resurrection, and coming return. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered regularly until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

10. Biblical Family & Marriage

We believe in the biblical definition of marriage as being exclusively between one man and one woman.  We believe that any sexual behavior outside of this relationship is thus sinful and should be repented from.  However, people with homosexual desires are welcome in our services and should feel free to attend our church without judgment.  Our intent is to help people feel the love of our Christian community and allow the Word of G od and the Spirit of God to convict us all of what needs to change.

11. Leadership in the Church

We believe in the biblical expression of Elders and Deacons found in the new testament.  People in leadership positions in the church will be held to a higher standard.  A lifestyle of sin or a moral failure will result in removal from leadership.  Also, church leaders will be expected to operate the church with high financial accountability, keeping overhead and building related costs low so that more ministry can be accomplished.

12. Participation in the Church

We believe in the brotherhood of believers and that participation in the church should include following:

  • Regular attendance at services and event
  • Increasing knowledge of God and his Word
  • Regular service to both the church and the community
  • Encouraging, interpersonal, Christ focused accountability
  • Support of the church as God leads

13. The Last Things

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His eternal kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body and the final judgment where God will justly decide the eternal destiny of every person.

Our Policies
  • Persons with any criminal backgrounds are not allowed to serve in our children’s ministry without written consent of the elder board.

  • All persons seeking to serve or lead in any situation that might involve minors will be required to submit to a criminal background check.

  • All persons serving in the church must adhere to volunteer policies.  If those policies are not provided the person volunteering must take it upon themselves to learn and submit to those policies.

  • We believe in the protection of children and therefore persons who have been accused of an illegal sexual offense are not permitted to attend services or events while investigations are ongoing. If a person is found guilty of sexual offense, they will not be allowed to attend services or events where potential victims might be present.  However, we believe in redemption and those accused or found guilty should feel free to consult with the pastor.  We operate in a larger believing community that believes in loving and supporting sexual offenders in a way that is healthy and safe for the offender.  We do our best to protect the privacy of sexual offenders.

  • Pictures taken at church events should not be placed on social media except by church staff.  If you would like a picture to be placed on social media, send the picture to the staff member overseeing the ministry.  Since we protect the privacy and well-being of all our members and children, we cannot explain our media decisions.  As a church we often find ourselves in a position to protect the vulnerable and our media decisions are our best attempts to support and protect every participant.
